Wedding Earrings is now published as part of DIY Jewelry Making #64. This tutorial is written by one of our contributors – Alice Kharon. If you like jewelry, I encourage you to start making it yourself. These are beaded earrings that absolutely anyone can do. It is extremely easy to make even for the absolute beginners, so you don’t need any experience on this. For step by step instruction, do log in to our member area to follow this project. Where you can buy materials:
Below is a sneak preview of what you will see from the step by step guide available in our member area.
To start. Weave through the beads minimum twice in each step to achieve a nice shape.
String a stop bead on 3 feet of Fireline leaving a 4 inches tail.
Stop bead: just choose a bright seed bead, weave around it twice. It will prevent the beads from sliding.
String 12 4mm pearls.
Enter the first pearl in the same direction, as shown.
Let’s assume, you are working clock wize.
Go through all 12 beads twice. You will be at the point where 2 threads meet, as shown in this photo.
Tight an over hand knot tice pulling the tread tight.
Over hand knot: use the same technique you use to tight your shoes.
The beads will form a circle.
If we divide the beads by 4, we can pretend that we have a square with 3 beads for each side: top, bottom, left, right.
Time to get rid of the stop bead:
String the 4 inches tail in a different needle…
