and also learn how to attach or connect jump rings. Once you’ve learned the basics of opening and closing jump rings,
you can use this technique in creating numerous chain or Chainmaille and different designs of jewelries.
The tutorial is catered to beginner or anyone who loves to learn this basic weave.
It has in-depth instructions and ultra-clear, close-up photos at each step.
Additionally, you can ask me question you have on the tutorial.

Materials Needed:
1 x 1cm (10mm) 0.4 inch dia. jump rings
18 x 0.6cm (6mm) 0.2 inch dia. jump rings
Ear wire
5 pcs assorted flat beads or chips

Tools Needed:
2 Flat Nose pliers or bent Nose pliers
Step 1:
Pick up your 1cm (10mm) jump ring.
Step 2: How to open a jump ring
Using 2 flat nose or bent nose pliers grip the jump ring on both sides of the split.  While holding the pliers
move your hands in opposite directions, one pliers towards you and the other pliers away from you.
You will see the split opening up.
Step 3:
Once the 1cm jump ring is open, insert 7 x 0.6cm close jump rings into the opened split.
Step 4: How to close a jump ring
Close your jump ring by griping the jump ring on both sides of the split just like what you did in Step 2,
but this time, move your hands towards each other and have the split meet again.
You will see the split is closing.
You now have 7 x 0.6cm jump rings, attached altogether in one jump ring. The top or 1cm jump ring
will be your base and the 7 jump rings will be your 2nd layer.
Step 5:
We’re going to attach the 3rd layer of 0.6cm jump rings. Pick one jump ring, open it and from your 2nd
layer insert the split into the 1st and 2nd jump rings and then close the jump ring. Then pick another jump ring,
open it and insert the split into the 2nd and 3rd jump rings. Repeat the steps of inserting one jump ring for
your 3rd & 4th, 4th & 5th, 5th & 6th and 6th & 7th jump rings.
Note: You should have 6 x 0.6cm jump rings attached for your 3rd layer of jump rings.
Step 6:
Begin to imagine how you want your chips or flat beads to dangle from your jump rings.
Pick up one jump ring, open it and insert your flat bead or chips. Then insert it into the 1st & 2nd jump rings
from your 3rd layer.  Close your jump ring. Do the same for the rest for your chips or flat beads, inserting it
on your 2nd & 3rd, 3rd & 4th, 4th & 5th, 5th & 6th.
You should have 5 chips or flat beads dangling from your 3rd layer of jump rings.
Step 7:
Then attach your ear wire into the top jump ring or your base jump ring.
Repeat the Steps 1 to 7 for the other earring.
You have now completed your Peacock Chain Earrings. Wear it and have with it. Hope you like it!
