A Sneak Peek at Sweet Echinacea Bracelet by Lea Paličková

Lea Paličková is from a small country in the Central Europe – Czech Republic, home of traditional glass beads. She started with beadweaving in the year 2009 and since then it became her obsession. In her creations, you’ll find a combination of her love for beads, nature, autumn and its colors, and geography.

Lea Paličková is now a part of DIY Jewelry Making Magazine. Since last year, we have been featuring her jewelry making tutorials and for the month of February-March 2017, we have her beautiful, “Sweet Echinacea Bracelet” in DIY Jewelry Making Magazine #51.

Let’s take a sneak peek at how to create the Echinacea bracelet…

Firstly, you need to bezel a Preciosa Candy bead. Lea suggests use a Nymo or Superlon thread for bezeling. Once you have the center you then create the petal leaves with Dagger Beads using Fireline. This type of thread is high-quality and sturdy enough to hold the dagger beads in place and then continue on, adding more embellishments.

Once your Echinacea flower is finished, you can connect the flowers and create a bracelet. You can also use it separately and create pendants, rings, earrings or brooch.
